Post Game Reports

Sat. July 25,2009

Saturday night at Servus Place, Tyler Kristiansen's first of four points on
the night , started the Eclipse off. They had three before Ben Contenti put
the Miners on the board. The period ended 4-2 with the difference being two
that beat Nano but only bounced along the line. The second period was all
high-tempo from both sides and was a delight to watch. Tremendous evidence
of the progression of junior A in Alberta. Eclipse 9--Miners 6 after two.
Some Miners big hits in the third period that saw the odd Eclipse on their
backs weren't enough. The visitors rode captain Simon Giourmetakis's
offensive control, and their collective relentless hustle on defence to a
huge third period. The Eclipse threw another 60 high quality shots at
Trevor Van Bavel and finished the game outscoring the Miners 15-7.
Good Luck Eclipse on the road to the Minto .
